I bring over 20 years experience as a writer, editor, self-publisher, and published author. I studied creative writing and screenwriting at U.T. Austin. I've worked with professional editors and a literary agent who helped me land book deals with NY and foreign publishers. As a self-publisher, I wrote and published an award-winning novel, Shadows in the Mist, that won a gold medal in the 2007 IPPY Awards. I later sold that book to a NY publisher and a German publisher. I recently negotiated a book deal for my second novel, Dead of Winter, which will release within the next year. I am currently at work on two books, my third novel, SKINNERS, and a non-fiction historical book that I am ghostwriting for a client. In the film business, I've edited numerous documentaries and TV commercials. My mission is to offer all my creativity, knowledge, and experience to help other writers be more successful.

Sometimes all we need is a little nudge to motivate us.
Your session with me can focus on one particular challenge you might be dealing with, like writer's block or deciding whether to self-publish or query agents. If you're feeling stuck in any way, I can help get you moving in the right direction.

Creative brainstorming with writers is my niche. I coach writers through a novel's sticking points. Have me read up to 30 pages of your book or outline at a time and then together the two of us can brainstorm on your novel's structure, characterization, pace, plot holes, etc. We'll have fun bouncing ideas back and forth and you'll feel a renewed sense of excitement about your novel.
